Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Xania Shield (the "Service"), operated by Xania Media, Rue du Général Fleury 29, 7700 Mouscron, Belgium (VAT BE 0875.444.103). By creating an account, downloading our software, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Xania Shield provides a spam-analysis API and related plugins and SDKs that help you detect and block spam submissions on your websites and applications. We may update, improve, or change features over time.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and API keys secure, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter into these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: attempting to disrupt or overload our infrastructure; reverse-engineering the Service except as permitted by law; using it to process data unlawfully; or reselling access without authorization. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or threaten its security.

4. Free downloads and software

Our plugins and SDKs are provided free of charge for use with the Service. They are licensed, not sold, and provided "as is". You may use them on sites you control. You may not remove copyright notices or misrepresent their origin.

5. Plans, billing and trials

Paid plans are billed in advance according to the pricing shown at sign-up. Trials, where offered, convert to a paid plan unless cancelled before the trial ends. Prices are in euro and may exclude applicable VAT. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your account settings.

6. Availability and accuracy

We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but spam detection is probabilistic: no system catches every spam message or avoids every false positive. The Service is designed to fail open where integrations cannot reach it, so your forms keep working. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Xania Media is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for spam that is not detected or legitimate submissions that are flagged. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. liability limits) will survive.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Belgium, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.
